Designed for Bowens-mount fixtures under 600W, the BM40 and BM70 Beauty Dish Reflectors deliver soft, even illumination, making them ideal as key lights for portrait photography.
Overview
The beauty dish features an orange-peel textured interior that promotes smooth, even light reflection. Light is first redirected by the central deflector plate and then evenly distributed across the interior surface, producing a focused yet soft light quality. An included diffuser can be added to further soften the output when a gentler look is desired.
The circular opening helps create natural, appealing catchlights, enhancing eye detail in portrait work.
A removable honeycomb grid is included for greater light control. When attached, it narrows the beam angle and directs light precisely onto the subject, reducing spill. The compact, disc-shaped design saves space on set, while the lightweight construction—especially the BM40 at just 0.95 kg (2.09 lb)—makes it highly portable for outdoor and location shoots.
